This year I'll be celebrating my birthday weekend with a task that few before me have dared to attempt... a full-on, weekend-long tour of every tiki bar in Las Vegas!
The Isotope's twice yearly SF tiki tours are truly the stuff of legend and I fully expect one of America's craziest cities not to disappoint! For those who like such things you can follow my live-intoxicated-reporting on my Twitter feed and check out the gore or glory first hand with photos over at Flickr here.
While I'm off killing brain and liver cells, taking care of all your comic book reading needs will be the Josh Richardson you've all come to know and love on Sundays and for this Saturday the Isotope will be featuring comic artist and author Matt Silady. Many of you know Matt already from his graphic novel The Homeless Channel and as one of our favorite event attendees. Stop on in and show Matt some love, por favor!
As for me, the bags are packed and it's time to find out if my tiki bar training regimen has been intense enough to handle Vegas. I'll be shutting the shop down an hour early this evening to catch my flight and I hope you can all forgive me for 60 minutes. That is, if I survive the weekend. Wish me luck!

Yes, I really did want to go see the Dead Channels screening of The Devil Dared Me To, the nearly semi-true movie of New Zealand's most dangerous stuntman. Because honestly, the trailers make that look like one of the greatest movies ever made!
But as good as that admittedly looks, tonight we celebrate 30th anniversary of the passing of The King with Will the Thrill, Monica Tiki Goddess, Cari Lee & the Saddle-Ites, fried peanut butter and nanner sammiches, and a showing of a brilliant, classic flick starring two of the sexiest stars ever to grace the silver screen.
That's right, I'm talking about Thrillville's 30th Anniversary Elvis D-Day Party! Featuring the crown jewel of 1964 cinema... Viva Las Vegas. Oh, Elvis and Ann-Margret, watching you two dance together makes my heart go pitter-patter!

In honor of the 30th anniversary of the passing of The King, the IsoStaff celebrating our favorite Elvis-eras, is frying up a bunch of peanut butter and nanner sammiches, baking up some Fool's Gold Loaf, listening to our favorite Elvis tunes... and staying far, far away from this blasphemy!
