The gizmo-worshipping nerd-fashionistas among you already know all about Revison3's awesome Tekzilla show. This week they visit the Isotope and get down with one of my favorite new releases. Check out the latest episode show notes:
We're not sure how our Producer, Heather, snuck out of the office to hit one of our fave local comic stores, Isotope. We do know that she scored the trade paperback of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Long Way Home. It's the first five issues of Josh Whedon's Season 8 of the show that ended in 2003.
If you've ever secretly dreamed about seeing me ring comics up at near light speed you're going to love checking this out! I've imbedded the episode here so you can go ahead and watch the show from the comfort of the Isotope website, or you can click on through if you'd like.
Oh Go Ahead, Celebrate Joss Whedon's Birthday By Indulging Thyself in a Ton of Buffy Comics!
Talk about your great timing. Dark Horse Comics has decided to put up a massive, 26-page preview of the upcoming Buffy Omnibus for free on-line... just in time for Joss Whedon's birthday!
Now I'm no conspiracy theorist, but clearly this is no mere accident. Could it be that Joss Whedon wants you to celebrate the day of his birth with him today by indulging yourself in a virtual cornucopia of great free Buffy comics? Hmmmm.
Going Behind the Scenes on Buffy #3 From Script to Completed Page
Alright, we'll admit it... your assembled amigos at the Isotope are loving Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season Eight. It's been a blast getting to meet so many of the new folks this series has been bringing in the front door, and you can tell Mister Whedon is having just as much fun writing this new series as we are getting to read it. You'd have to be a fool to not appreciate the true thing of beauty it is to see Whedon work that wild magic with none of the budgetary constraints of writing for television.
In celebration of the just-released issue number 3, we're getting to take a look inside the creative process behind this great new series thanks to the fine folks at Dark Horse Comics. Check out this sneak peek and enjoy yourself some Buffy, from script and pencils to the completed page. You know you want some!
