It's been a fantastic 13 months since we brought the Isotope's Creative Catalyst Matt Silady on board to help us play tour guide to the world of comics for all of you. And what a year it's been! But Matt's decided that 2009 is time for our beloved Eisner Nominated comics creator to retire from retail and get down to the serious work of drawing the follow-up to his critically-acclaimed original graphic novel The Homeless Channel. He's streamlining his activities to ensure he's got more time to get blowing our minds on that next project and to keep pushing the artform forward and to get a-living that American dream! It just makes you proud, doesn't it? Of course, Matt will still be around working side by side with us here and there, and during some of the Isotope's special events, but we'll all miss celebrating new comics with him each Wednesday. Come celebrate Matt's retirement with us, won't you? (sob)!
