Watch For It: Mouse Guard Boardgame

Get a Sneak Peek @ Dreamation Con

You're probably like me, and you like hearing the pre-announcement rumblings about nifty comic-related stuff before they hit the news sites. If so, this one is for you.

My staff and I are all folks who have been enthusiasticly on-board with everything Mouse Guard for quite a while now and some of you might remember we even surprised one of our regulars with a gift of some original Mouse Guard art back when the series was just getting started out. So you'd better believe we pricked up our ears when we heard word of a boardgame devoted to this great series.

Check out this post on game designer Don Corcoran's website for the few details that have been leaked on this. The game is scheduled for an August 2008 release (which is no doubt a GenCon launch). And those of you who want to get an early sneak peek at the game before it's released might be quite interested in a little event scheduled for this year's Dreamation 2008... the "MouseGuard Adventures Playtest."

This definitely sounds to me like the perfect merchandising swag for the book, especially considering Mouse Guard creator David Petersen's well known love of boardgames. Can't wait to hear more details as we get closer to launch!
