Colossus and the Amazon Queen (1960) An Isotope Guerilla Cult Theatre Presentation
Ladies and gentlement, the Isotope is proud to present one of the greatest lost badfilms of all time... when we say "a must see" we really mean it!
If you like pirates, Greek mythology, scantily-clad women riding on horseback, bar fights, and tribal dance numbers as only white men in the late 1950s could envision, but have been unable to find a movie that will tackle them all, then Colossus and the Amazon Queen is definitely the flick for you!
With a plot line as loose as an Amazonian girdle, the movie follows Rod Taylor (miles away from his A-list work on films like The Birds) and the 60's "fitness" star Ed Fury (in all his muscleman glory) as they bring over-the-top male/female role-reversals to an all-new farcical low. Complete with effeminate men swapping laundry tips and wives complaining that their stay-at-home men couldn't possibly understand the value of a hard day's work.
This long-lost cinematic treasure is sure to be a camp favorite around your swingin' love pad for decades to come!
