A Rocking WonderCon Weekend!

Whoo-boy! Has WonderCon stepped it up this year.

The San Francisco comic convention which runs from Friday February 10th to Sunday the 12th features a shiny new location, some new Star Wars teasers, a great masquerade ball, a Future of Comics Retailing panel with Isotope proprietor James Sime, and a bucketload of great special guests including Mike Allred, Greg Rucka, Mike Mignola, Frank Miller, Mark Waid, and many more. Truly, this is the year to attend, so get your advance tickets now.

Here at the Isotope we celebrated the convention in years past with an annual tiki-themed party we called Wonder-Kon-Tiki (Check out flyers from '02, '03, '04, and '05). But the time has come to switch up the routine, reinvent the approach, shatter the expectations, and to forge ahead with the newness. Because here at the Isotope we love that which is new. And no doubt if you've been watching this website recently you already know just how sweet the newness really is!

Friday night features the one and only Grant Morrison for a little celebration we have lovingly named Grant Morrison's International Guide to Living Fabulously, an evening of ultra-stylish revelry inside the world's sexiest comic book store with the magnetic Grant and the gorgeous Kristan. Saturday night we're amping up the energy for Eric Powell's Monster Mash-Up and getting our body groovin' action on with San Francisco horror hostess supreme Ms. Monster, twenty thousand grooves of live mash-up goodness from Oakland's own DJ SamSupa, and the creator of one of the Isotope's all-time favorite comics The Goon.
