An Extra's Eye View From The Set Footage from Superman Returns
Check out some from-the-set footage of Superman Returns taken by a fan on April 16th when filming took place on the streets of Sydney, Australia. This eight and a half minute video gives the extra's-eye view of day-to-day on-the-set operations, including a Daily Planet van, several Metropolis police cars, fans harassing Director Bryan Singer, and multiple takes of Clark Kent running. The slow moments of footage are helped along by the Superman theme song, which always helps get the Isotope pumped up.
Though nothing much else can be determined about the quality of this movie by this particular footage, you can tell that Brandon Routh makes a great Clark Kent! Click Here To Watch
UPDATE: Director Bryan Singer is keeping a video journal of the behind-the-scenes making of Superman Returns, which includes interviews with effects supervisiors, production designers, stunt coordinators, editors, casting directors, the director of photography, and some really awesome footage of Superman flying. These behind the wizard's curtain video diaries are really, really cool. Go check them out, especially the most recent entry "To Fly"
What can we say...? Bryan Singer knows how to really bring out the geek in us!
