Josh Richardson Interview @ Sequential Tart
Josh Richardson has done what thousands of comic fans hope to do someday and that's break into the industry. Sure, he's had to start with one of the most unglamorous jobs of all, he's had to start at the bottom of the food chain and work his way up, but that doesn't bother him, in fact, Richardson loves it. He's making comics for a living and he isn't afraid to tell you how much he loves every minute of his ever-increasing comic industry workload.
Thanks to his rapidly-updating "In The Trenches" column, his boundless energy, and his ability to get an amazing amount of work done and look good doing it, Richardson has become something of an inspirational touchstone for pros and fans alike. And when Richardson's fans include such names as Darwyn Cooke, Larry Young, B. Clay Moore, Paul Kilpatrick, Erik Larsen, and the entire Isotope staff... you know he's going places in this industry.
Check out this interview with Richardson by Sequential Tart for a first hand, behind-the-wizard's-curtain view of breaking into the comic industry through the eyes of an eager go-getter. While Josh gives the Isotope entirely too much credit for his success (we're just the cheerleaders here), it's an excellent, thought provoking interview that will definitely open up your eyes to the world of making comics.
